For Wellesley College, our team was commissioned to design and fabricate a custom entry door system that reflects the architectural character of the campus while delivering modern performance and durability. The objective was to create a historically sympathetic design with precise detailing and long-term structural integrity.

We built a custom arched double-door assembly featuring solid wood construction and carefully executed Gothic-inspired panel and lite patterns. Each component was fabricated to align with the surrounding stone opening, requiring tight tolerances and careful templating to ensure a precise fit within the existing architecture.

The upper glazed sections incorporate custom divided-lite configurations and decorative tracery-style profiles, while the lower panels carry the motif through with carved and molded detailing. Joinery, shaping, and finishing were all handled in-house to maintain consistency and quality across the full assembly.

The completed installation delivers both presence and performance, a traditionally detailed entry system crafted to complement the historic setting while meeting current functional standards.
