CWF Inc. is a premier architectural millwork and custom furniture studio based in Northern New Jersey, serving both commercial and residential clients with a level of craftsmanship defined by precision, material expertise, and thoughtful design. Our work spans a diverse range of environments including hospitality, medical, residential, commercial office, and liturgical spaces, executed through a refined palette of materials such as wood, metal, glass, stone, acrylic, and fabric. While our capabilities are broad, our identity remains rooted in the mastery of wood, its warmth, character, and enduring beauty.
With nearly 25,000 square feet of creative and production space across two facilities, CWF operates as both a workshop and a collaborative partner. Architects, interior designers, developers, and homeowners rely on us not only for fabrication, but for insight, bringing clarity to complex ideas and translating vision into built form with intention and care. From early concept through final installation, we approach each project as an opportunity to create something lasting.
Our story began over 37 years ago as a one-man operation in Sussex County, New Jersey. Founded by John K. Kweselait, what started as a small, hands-on craft has grown into a multi-disciplinary team of over twenty-five skilled professionals. Today, CWF Inc. produces work for leading developers, hospitality groups, private clients, and Fortune 500 companies, yet our foundation remains unchanged: a commitment to quality, detail, and integrity in everything we build.

Some people spend several decades of their lives trying to figure out what their calling is. Others are apparently born with tree sap in their veins. That describes John. From the age of 8, he has been creating things with wood.
Thirty years ago, John took this love and formalized it into Custom Wood Furniture. Starting with a basement remodel for several thousand dollars to the multi-million dollar projects the company, now known as CWF, Inc., does today, John has built a company based entirely on being inspired by the dreams of his clients.
Today John’s inspiration drives the high-end projects performed by CWF in multiple markets such as Hospitality, Commercial, Residential, and Institutional. He personally oversees each project to ensure that the quality and customer service that the company was built on continues to be reflected in every project.
Knowing that nobody achieves a high level of success by themselves, John has and continues to build a staff of extremely talented designers, engineers, and craftspeople that he sees more as family than employees.
