Dattner Architects
For this project, our team was brought on to fabricate and install a series of custom architectural millwork elements designed to bring warmth, comfort, and visual identity to the space through natural white oak and sculptural detailing. The scope focused on creating inviting communal environments while integrating highly detailed custom features throughout the interior.
Our solution:
We crafted and installed custom white oak benches, integrated seating alcoves, built-in bookshelves, glass display cases, decorative ceiling features, and wall-integrated millwork elements throughout the project. Many of the seating niches were designed as immersive architectural moments, combining angular geometry, concealed lighting, upholstered backing, and warm wood tones to create quiet spaces for gathering and reflection.
A standout feature of the project was the CNC-carved leaf motif panels, developed to introduce a sense of movement and organic texture within the space. The carved detailing added depth and craftsmanship while complementing the clean architectural lines of the surrounding millwork.
Throughout the project, careful attention was given to grain continuity, proportion, lighting integration, and finish consistency to ensure every oak element felt cohesive and intentional. The result is a refined interior environment where custom millwork becomes both functional and architectural, adding warmth, character, and permanence to the overall design.
