For this project, our team was commissioned to help shape the interior experience of General Coffee Co. in Morristown, NJ through a series of custom architectural millwork features designed to balance warmth, durability, and hospitality. The goal was to create a refined café environment that felt inviting and timeless while supporting the functional demands of a high-traffic coffee destination.
Our solution:
We designed, fabricated, and installed a range of custom millwork elements throughout the space, including a full-height illuminated retail bookcase, custom grab-and-go refrigeration shelving, radius metal and wood doors, decorative mirror trim packages, and detailed profile moldings. Rich wood tones, integrated lighting, and layered architectural detailing were used throughout to create a cohesive and elevated atmosphere.
A sculptural scalloped service bar and matching cabinetry anchor the café, bringing softness and rhythm to the space while maintaining the durability required for daily commercial use. Extensive coordination was also required around the stone countertops, which were supplied by others but integrated within our scope to ensure seamless transitions and a fully resolved final installation.
The finished space blends hospitality, retail, and architectural craftsmanship into a cohesive environment that feels warm, intentional, and distinctly tailored to the identity of the brand.
